Biography

Hello! My name is Chloe Brinkman and I am a graduate from the School of Visual Arts with a Bachelor's in Illustration! My mother is Japanese and very much a nerd, and I consequently was raised to be quite the nerd myself. My style is heavily inspired by the anime and manga I spent all of my childhood watching and reading growing up, and while I love and am comfortable with a variety of types of traditional media, my heart lies with digital painting. My interests are spread through a variety of subjects—from horror to food illustration—but generally speaking, in all genres of art, one of the most exciting elements to me is finding fun and inventive ways to utilize color.

Since acquiring my first tablet in 2014, I've participated in a variety of collaborative anthologies with other artists; some printed, others not. Most notably, Devil's Advocate (2020) generated a grand total of $17,800 dollars after selling 440 copies, and Reverie (2021) made a grand total of $26,800, selling 500 copies. I have participated in over 10 of these projects providing both page art and supplemental merchandise design, and I look forward to staying involved in the future!
